Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

The ability to use I.C.T. as a tool for learning is an important element of the school’s educational programme of acquiring information, knowledge and thinking skills that will enable our students to be prepared for future education and the world of work.
Children in the Infant department have the opportunity to use computers as part of their normal day to day learning experiences whilst all Primary and Secondary students have weekly lessons in acquiring skills in word processing, data bases and spread sheets as well as understanding the power of computer software to create and manipulate images in an artistic and creative manner.
The school has one dedicated computer laboratory with plans to build another in the next twelve months.
Most of the Primary and Secondary classrooms are equipped with computers and projectors to enable the teachers to make full use of the educational possibilities of the internet. The E.S.A. is also acquiring more inter active whiteboards which are becoming a necessary tool for many subjects.
